Old Town Palm Springs......Sunday 2nd March

It was a bit of a roundabout route to get to Downtown Palm Springs as due to the flooding  some main roads were still closed....however we got there and had a very nice walk about in the warm sunshine.....
These old classic cars and the next pics were all on sale at a car showroom.....I wish, although surprisingly they were not that expensive......

A famous statue of a famous lady......
Old Town Palm Springs like many towns is mainly a tourist area with souvenir shops and eateries but we spent a very pleasant couple of hours ambling about and yes we did buy a few trinkets.....
There were also a couple of large craft fairs with some very nice paintings and art work on sale....when we win the lottery we'll return.......
A pleasant sunny day after the storms of the last few days, sadly by the time we got home the clouds had gathered again and the wind had increased...brrrr...
Oscar frenzy of course, not really our thing but I am pleased that Matthew McConaughey won best actor as he is one of my  favourites.....

  2. That top photo looks a bit like the town of Radiator Springs from the Disney 'Cars' movie....then I saw the next pics with the gorgeous classic cars, & I thought it was even more like the film! I love that film, which is just as well as we've watched it a million times with Aidan!! Marion xx
